Oxidized Fischer-Tropsch Wax (Oxidized F-T Wax)

Oxidized Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) wax is F-T wax further modified by oxidation, introducing polar functional groups. It combines lubrication with polar compatibility and is especially suitable for the internal/external lubrication balance of rigid PVC. Heyee Chem flagship grades include HY-9128, HY-100-28, HY-104-28, HY-105-32, HY-B39 and HY-B52.

Typical Applications

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the role of oxidized F-T wax in PVC?

It provides a balanced internal/external lubrication, lowers plasticizing torque, prevents mold sticking and improves surface gloss and dimensional stability; its thermal stability is better than ordinary paraffin wax.

What does the acid value indicate?

A higher acid value means stronger polarity and a more pronounced internal-lubrication tendency; high-fill systems often use high-acid grades (e.g. HY-105-32).

What is the difference between oxidized wax and oxidized PE wax?

The former is based on F-T wax, the latter on PE wax; oxidized F-T wax typically offers better hardness and thermal stability and suits rigid PVC.
